Graphic Design & Illustration

The Daily Pennsylvanian, Inc.

As a Deputy Design Editor on the 141st Board, I create digital and print graphics for The Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn’s independent student news media organization, as well as 34th Street Magazine, our arts and culture magazine.

Here are some of my illustrations! :)

Here are a few layouts I've worked on recently for The DP's weekly print newspaper.

Print issues for both publications are also available online—check them out on Issuu!

Personal Work!

Below, you can find some of my work from the course DSGN 0010: Art, Design and Digital Culture, as well as personal projects (created using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Procreate, and mixed media).

Avatar &
Manifesto

DSGN 0010

We were given a lot of freedom to explore themes of portraiture, identity, abstraction, and digital manipulation in Adobe Photoshop. In both my Avatar (left) and Manifesto (right), I wanted to convey a sense of outward movement and noise via high saturation, open composition, and a mix of organic and inorganic elements.

I sourced my own assets via photography, illustration, and risograph printing. I also manipulated and distorted text taken out of things I’m reading at the moment, from Anil Seth’s Being You: A New Science of Consciousness, to readings from my philosophy and visual perception seminar.
